STEM and Real-World Learning

We continue to expand our science, technology, engineering and mathematics learning and redesign traditional learning experiences to help our students become creators, designers, inventors, thinkers and leaders.

Career and College Readiness and 12x12

Our goal for each student is simple – 12 college-level credits by the end of 12th grade, or 12x12. We offer a variety of ways for students to achieve this goal and leave high school with college credits.

Innovation and Design

Unleashing teacher creativity using our 3D Design process creates learning experiences that are meaningful, engaging and enhance student success.

Outstanding Financial Management

The district is well-positioned for the future as a result of strong fiscal management from the school board and district administration.

Our class sizes at all grade levels are among the lowest in the metro area and neighboring districts. We prioritize investing in teaching and specialist positions to maintain low class sizes.

Enrollment Forms

Registering your student for school at Spring Lake is easy. Find all the Steps and forms you need below.

How do I find out how much money is left in my student's account?

Call the nutrition service site manager at your child's school to check on the current balance. Please call before 10 a.m. or after 1 p.m. If you are connected to the site's voicemail, leave a message with your name and phone number, and the site manager will return your call.

How can I add money to my student's account?

Nutrition Services uses an Internet food service payment option, through Campus Parent Portal. Please note, payments can only be taken online and not through the Campus Parent mobile app.

How will I receive low balance notifications?

On Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., families whose student’s meal account balance is negative $5 and below will receive an email and text message including the balance and a reminder to add funds for each student. These messages will be sent every Wednesday for each student whose account is negative $5 and below.

How are remaining balances and refunds handled?

Balances stay in the student's accounts over the summer break, whether the balance is negative or positive. If the student moves to a new building, the balance will transfer.

How is my student's pin number set?

Every student is assigned a key pad number once enrolled in the school district. This number allows the student to access his/her meal account and remains the same during their entire duration in Spring Lake Park Schools.

What if I don't want to give my student the option to purchase à la carte items?

During lunch, students have the option to purchase à la carte items (second milk, extra entree, bottled water, etc). If you do not want your student to purchase à la carte items, please complete the form below and email it to jswene@district16.org or return to:
