Our Foundation

We are a K-8, dually accredited school located in Oro Valley, and established in 1970. Our mission is to provide child-centered education as we celebrate who our students are in Jesus.

What We Are All About

We believe all children are unique and made with great intention. Because no two children are exactly the same, their educational journey should be a reflection of their unique learning styles and talents. We care about the whole family and seek to nurture the spiritual, emotional, physical and academic needs of each student.

Missional

which means we are committed to walking out our faith, both inside and outside the school walls. We meet students where they currently are spiritually, as well as academically, and provide the tools for growth in both. We are passionate about reaching out to the community.

Child-Centered

and created in the image of God and are therefore unique physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. This means not all students learn at the same rate or in the same way. We support and nurture each child so they develop a lifelong love of learning.

Dynamic

and constantly moving toward God’s purpose for their lives. Our academic approach in the classroom is engaging and dynamic with very limited direct instruction, because we believe students learn best when they are collaborating with one another to solve problems.

What About Tuition?

All families are eligible to receive tuition assistance through the Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit Program. We currently have 95% of our families taking advantage of this opportunity, with almost 60% covering tuition in full! Learn more about Tax Credit Scholarships and Tuition Assistance HERE

What is a digital platform for learning?

A digital learning platform is designed to provide educators, administrators and learners with a single robust, secure and integrated system to create personalized learning environments.

What exactly is in Moodle?

Each core teacher has created a course/class page in Moodle. The entire faculty has worked tirelessly this week to create an entire educational experience in an online format.

How do we access Moodle?

Students will access Moodle at our specific CCS Moodle page. There are several ways to do this: 1. Go to https://online.casaschristianschool.com/ 2. Download the Moodle app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

How do we log in to Moodle?

Each student will be sent their username and password from Moodle ( these emails will be sent in the afternoon of Sunday, March 29th ). There will be an individual username and password for every student – siblings will log on with their personal username/password to access their classes (there are no shared family accounts).

How often do we need to work in Moodle?

Every day that you would normally attend school (M-F)! Moodle takes the place of a traditional physical classroom until we can meet in person again. School continues, and we will take attendance daily.

Our Instructional Make up

To ensure that our students are met where they currently are on their readiness journey, we follow the Gradual Release Model of Responsibility at CCS.

The Gradual Release Model

By leaving behind the “one size fits all” model and removing the grade level cap that often accompanies those classroom settings, we are able to really see incredible growth at CCS! Allowing students who are ready for more to soar, while still providing much needed scaffolding for those students who are continually left behind, is what makes CCS so unique instructionally..
