When will bcbe students be out of school for Thanksgiving?
Students and teachers will be out of school November 22-26 for the Thanksgiving Holidays. Students will return to school on November 29. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Questions? Where do students go to the after school childcare program?
All students must attend the After School Childcare Program on the campus of their day school. Busing of students is not an option. All Registration and payments for the Afterschool Program should be made online.

What age do you have to be to have after school care?
After School Childcare Programs serve students beginning at age 5 at elementary schools; Middle and High school students may attend at their school campus, if the program is available. All students must attend the After School Childcare Program on the campus of their day school. Busing of students is not an option.
How late can you register for the YMCA?
The program operates from 3-5:30 p.m. (or 3 – 6:00 p.m. at select sites) and follows the school calendar. Parents must complete online registration, pay the $20 non-refundable registration fee, and the first week fee - no fewer than two (2) days prior to the first day of attendance in the program.
How many absences can a parent excuse?
A written note from the parents or guardians will excuse absences for up to but not exceeding nine absences in grades K-8 and four absences in grades 9-12. Future absences for illness will require a doctor's note in order to be excused. Gifted Education.
When can a child go to first grade in Alabama?
Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, the Act requires local education agencies to allow a child who is six years of age on or before December 31 to enroll in first grade.
Can a child leave the University of Texas without a parent's consent?
No child will be allowed to leave campus without the express consent of their parent or guardian. Early checkouts are discouraged; however, in the case of a medical necessity, it is requested that a doctor's note is submitted to the office the next day. Child Nutrition.
Is cash accepted for after school childcare?
Cash is not accepted. Site Manager or designee can assist you at the site, if needed. Payments are due one week in advance of attendance. Students may participate in the After School Childcare Program on a full-time basis. Non-Refundable Registration fee is $20.00; $35 weekly rate.
