How do I access my Republic schools Canvas Parent account?

If you already have a Republic Schools Canvas Parent account, simply login on the app. If it asks for your school, search for Republic and Republic Schools (MO) will appear.

What if I am not enrolled for Parent Portal?

If you are not enrolled for Parent Portal, please contact your child's school office. The Republic RIII School district utilizes an online service for parents called SISK12 Parent Portal. Through this web-based system, parents/guardians are able to view a variety of student record information about your child.

How do I access the parent portal system?

To access the Parent Portal system, click on the following link. By doing so you signify your agreement to the terms listed below. As a reminder, all parent/guardian emails provided to the district are utilized to create Parent Portal accounts. If you are not enrolled for Parent Portal, please contact your child's school office.

How do I re-enroll students in the parent portal?

This option is for new to Republic families only. If you're returning to Republic, you're able to login to the Parent Portal per the directions above using your former login credentials and re-enroll your students by selecting the "re-enroll student" button near the top of your home screen.

Any child who resides in the Republic School District boundaries that will be five on or before July 31 is eligible.

We're beginning to get a few questions about summer school 2022, and we're EXCITED that you're asking! While we can tell you that we WILL have seated summer school, we're still working on the details. Look for enrollment information the week after spring break!

COVID19 Testing Update

Throughout the pandemic Republic School District has been proud to partner with our families and employees regarding COVID19 testing. While we are committed to continuing this partnership, unfortunately the national supply shortage of COVID19 tests is impacting our ability to maintain our current testing abilities.

The Republic School District will not be in session on Monday, February 21 in recognition of President's Day. This date is a guaranteed holiday/day off for employees and students, and will not be used as a snow day make-up, if needed.

Adjustments to 2021-22 Calendar

The Board of Education voted to make February 21, Presidents Day a guaranteed holiday/day off for ALL employees and students, and will not be used as a snow day make-up, if needed.

Return to Learn Plan

Republic School District has developed protocols to address the COVID19 pandemic. These protocols are outlined in the Return to Learn Plan, which was last updated on January 6, 2022. Online Meal Applications Now Available

While we are THRILLED that all meals are available for free this school year, this has reduced the number of meal applications submitted by our families--and therefore, decreased some of the resources available and put us at risk of losing additional resources.

What does "reimagine public education in the South" mean?

We believe that the way things have always been done is not enough and does not benefit our students. Therefore, we make a commitment to our scholars and their families that we set them up for success now and in the future.

Why is public education not built in the South?

Since the beginning, public education in the South was not built to ensure all children succeed. Communities of color and low-income communities have been and continue to be underserved.

STEP 1

Welcome to the Republic School District! Most of the new student enrollment process can be done online through the SISK12 Parent Portal. To begin you’ll need to create a login in the SISK12 Parent Portal. To find the Parent Portal CLICK HERE or simply visit republicschools.org and click on the "Parent Portal" icon.

STEP 2

Once the online enrollment process is completed, new families will need to bring the following documents to the school your student will attend. If you have multiple students to enroll, visit each student's school building to complete the process. Please note, enrollment documents need to be turned in by noon for attendance the next school day.

How to find parent portal in a school district?

As a reminder, to find the Parent Portal simply visit republicschools.org and click on the "Parent Portal" icon. This can also be accessed through the district's free mobile app. As a reminder, to login use the email address you have provided to the district and enter the password you have created. If you’ve forgotten it, simply click on the “forgot password” button and follow the prompts. The Parent Portal is the same system used for back to school registration forms and to view student information like grades and attendance.

What is a username in a school district?

Your username is the email address you have provided to the district . If you do not know your password, simply select "forgot password" on the login screen, follow the prompts and a new one will be emailed to you. At the bottom left of each form you must select the "completed form" statement in red to move forward.

What time is open house in elementary school?

Elementary open houses will be in person and come-and-go style between 5:30-7:00 p.m. Only one parent may attend and he/she must be COVID19 symptom-free. Open Houses are designed for students in grades 1-5. Kindergarten Orientation will serve as an "open house" for K students.

How many times can you submit a school form?

You can only submit your forms to the district one time each school year. Once they are submitted you cannot go back and change them. Once all forms are "complete" select "save" ---> "list" and a pop up screen will appear asking if you are ready to submit to the district.

When should kindergarten families arrive?

Kindergarten families wanting to participate should arrive at 8:40 a.m. on the first day as this will allow all other students to be in classrooms and out of hallways. This will also help with traffic congestion. This will only be permitted on the first day of school.

When do you have to complete the SISK12?

Starting July 26, nearly all back to school forms will need to be completed online through the SISK12 Parent Portal by August 12 As a reminder, the Parent Portal is a tool that parents can use to monitor items like meal balances, grades, attendance, etc. We recommend using it throughout the school year!

What do parents need to get a Google account?

Parents will need: 1) their child’s username (the student Google Account username) --which can be obtained from the student. 2) their child’s password (the student Google Account password) --which can be obtained from the student. 3) a pairing code.

Can parents be observers on canvas?

Students are enrolling themselves into their classes, or courses in Canvas jargon, and parents can be Observers of those courses. Parents can sign up for a free account in order to view the resources and activities posted in their child’s courses that are available on Canvas.
