What is PowerSchool and how does it work?

PowerSchool is the student information system for Shelby County Schools. A PowerSchool account is required to be enrolled in school, but it also gives parents easy access to other important processes and student information.

How do I update my child's information in PowerSchool?

Parents can easily review and make updates to their child's information by accessing their PowerSchool Parent Portal. If your child previously attended SCS, but his/her most recent school was not an SCS school, he/she is still considered a returning student.

How do I get a PowerSchool account?

Send an email to ichoose@scsk12.org or call (901) 416-6007 to request a PowerSchool account. PowerSchool is the student information system for Shelby County Schools.

2022-23 STUDENT REGISTRATION

Whether your student is brand new to Shelby County Schools or returning for another year, registration is required to be enrolled.

NEW STUDENTS

Please contact your child's zoned school or approved school choice location to request a PowerSchool account to begin registration. For additional assistance, you may send an email to iChoose@scsk12.org with the subject line "2022-23 New Student Registration" or call (901) 416-6007.

RETURNING STUDENTS

Just log into your PowerSchool parent account to complete registration for your zoned school or approved school choice location. Click here for help with PowerSchool. *Returning students who do not register will NOT be enrolled in the fall.

REGISTRATION CHECKLIST
