Student & Staff COVID Testing

The District is continuing to offer COVID testing at the District Administration Building on Mondays to any student who has been exposed to a positive case and is not symptomatic. Any student who is sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 cannot get tested through the District as our District Administration Building is not a medical facility.

RCDOH COVID-19 Updates 1-6-21

School executives from each Rockland County school district and Rockland BOCES today met with officials from the Rockland County Department of Health (RCDOH) to review and discuss a variety of urgent COVID-19-related matters, including updated quarantine and isolation protocols, contact tracing requirements and the "test to stay" mitigation strategy being used in neighboring counties.

The Pearl River School District Administration includes instructional, finance and support services. Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources & Community Svcs

Oversees human resources including hiring, observing and evaluating faculty and staff, compliance with Civil Service, labor relations, negotiations, the adult enrichment program, District communication, records management, the District website, and liaison with PTA and community groups.

Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction

Oversees curriculum, instruction, technology, special education, central registration, health services and shares responsibility for other matters pertaining to the District.

Assistant Superintendent for Business

Oversees all financial and support matters for the District including budget and finance, purchasing, accounts payable, payroll, benefits and facilities.

Director of Special Services

Oversees provision of services to students with special needs including both school-age and pre-school students; Directs school psychologists, speech and language teachers, and special education faculty.

Director of Facilities

Oversees the maintenance of all District buildings and grounds including custodial services, repairs, grounds-keeping, and mail services; Oversees community use of school facilities.

Director of Health, Physical Education & Athletics

Oversees the health and physical education programs; Oversees athletic co-curricular and extra-curricular activities including all intramural, modified, freshman, junior varsity, and varsity teams.

The eSchoolData Parent Portal is a highly secure, internet-based application through which parents and guardians can view details of their student’s school records.

What do I need to access the Parent Portal?

To access the Parent Portal, you need a device with an internet connection. For the best browsing experience, we recommend Safari 5.0, Google Chrome 27, or Internet Explorer 11, or later.

How do I register for a Parent Portal account?

Once the Parent Portal has been enabled, your school district will communicate registration instructions.

What if I forget my password?

If you forget or misplace your password, navigate to the Parent Portal login page and click the “Forgot Password?” option. You will be prompted to enter the user ID or email associated with the account. Once submitted, you will receive an email containing a link to reset your password.

What if I do not receive an email to reset my password?

Check your spam folder to ensure that the email was not improperly filtered from your inbox. If so, be sure to add the Parent Portal email address to your address book. This will ensure that future emails from the Parent Portal will be properly received.

How can I change the email address associated with my Parent Portal account?

The email address associated with your account can be changed by clicking on the “My Account” icon on your personal home page. From there, select the “Update Account Info” tab and enter your new email address in the corresponding field.

Who is eligible to register for a Parent Portal account?

Only those parents and guardians of currently enrolled students who are designated to receive correspondence are eligible to register for an eSchoolData Parent Portal account.

Spotlight On Our Schools

At Lincoln Avenue Elementary School, our little Lions engage in important interactive social-emotional learning activities centered on empathy and emotions! Elementary school social worker Eric Borcherding, LCSW, visited Margaret Lynch’s kindergarten class to deliver a lesson on what empathy means – and how it can serve as a way for us to understand how someone else feels.

The Pearl River School District communicates with parents through the SchoolMessenger notification system in the event of school closings, emergencies and important timely information. The system communicates via phone calls, text messages and email to broadcast this information.
