Where is South Washington County Schools located?

South Washington County Schools is a suburban district located southeast of St. Paul, Minnesota. The district includes all or parts of the communities of Cottage Grove, Newport, St. Paul Park, Woodbury, as well as, Afton, Denmark and Grey Cloud Island Townships.

Are there any bus cancellations in South Washington County Schools?

Jan72022 South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) is now at a critical stage that will result in multiple cancellations or delays for bus routes in the mornings and afternoons. Families will be notified by phone and text, with as much notice as possible, if their child’s morning or afternoon route is expected to be impacted.

SoWashCo Online Student Experience

At the high school level, students will work on their online courses in ways that match their individual needs. Our high school course design is dependent on enrollment and whenever possible, a blend of synchronous and personalized asynchronous instruction will be offered.

What courses are available through SoWashCo Online?

Students in grades K-5 will receive the same standards based instruction as their peers in a traditional school setting.

How does SoWashCo Online differ from our experience during emergency distance learning?

SoWashCo Online programs go through deliberate design process. This process was unable to take place during emergency distance learning due to time constraints. The creation of online learning experiences is also vastly different from learning experiences created for brick-and-mortar classrooms.

How many students can be in an online course?

Secondary- class sizes will be capped at 40 students, per Minnesota Department of Education accreditation rules, no matter the subject area.

Can students take some classes online and others in person?

Students in grades 9-12 will be able to take all or some of their classes online. SoWashCo Online will have both comprehensive (full-time) and supplemental (part-time) approval for students in grades 9-12.

Welcome to Woodbury High School

Woodbury High School serves students in grades 9-12 and is part of SoWashCo Schools. We offer a comprehensive curriculum of 150+ courses, placing emphasis on college preparation, including Advanced Placement, Project Lead the Way, and College in the Schools.

Families can pick up two free meals (one breakfast and one lunch) for their child in middle or high school from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at the East Ridge High School activities entrance or the Park High School main entrance. Barcodes will not be required. Please only visit one site.
