Can a parent/guardian access student information on the Internet?

Access to student information from the Internet is a privilege, not a right. Only after a family has enrolled their child (ren) in the Orange School System will a parent/guardian be authorized to access the web account. Once a student withdraws or graduates from the Orange District their access will be inactivated.

How do I log in to parent access?

Go to the Parent Access URL - You can access this link from the Orange School District home page. Enter your Email Address that was sent to you in the “Username‟ field. Enter your Parent Access password in the “Password‟ field. Logging In for the First Time The very first time you login you will be required to change your password.

Who can witness a parent sign a parent portal access agreement?

Each parent/guardian must complete and sign a Parent Portal Access Agreement before viewing student information. A School Official or staff designee must witness the parent/guardian sign this form. The parent/guardian must provide a photo ID or alternate legal document prior to signing.

How to log into Genesis Parent Access?

To log into Genesis Parent access: Go to the Grades link that can be found on the District Home Page and each School’s Home Page or use the following link: Genesis. Enter your Email Address in the USER NAME field. Enter your password in the PASSWORD field. Click the LOGIN button.

What is the Genesis portal?

Orange Public School District uses Genesis, a parent communication tool which enables students and parents/guardians to view student information. The Genesis Parent Access portal provides parents/guardians with a safe and secure way to view their child's information: Marking Period, Exam and Final Grades.

What is Skyward in Orange County?

Welcome to the Orange County Public Schools parent/guardian website for Skyward - our student information system. Getting to School

OCPS students can be transported to schools in several ways including walking, biking, being dropped off in a personal vehicle or riding a public school bus.

Attendance

Daily attendance in school is the responsibility of the parent/guardian and is encouraged for all students in grades PK-12. Daily attendance is reported for all students grades PK-12. Period-by-period attendance is also reported for students in grades 9-12.

Learning

Wondering what your child is learning about today? All content students learn is based on the Florida Standards and Benchmarks for Excellent Student Thinking. There are standards and benchmarks for core subject areas such as English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.

Eating

OCPS is proud to provide breakfast and lunch at all school sites. Designated school sites also provide supper benefits. This year, all students are receiving meals at NO charge.

After School Opportunities

The Extended Day Enrichment Program offers supervision and a variety of enrichment activities for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. The program is fee-supported by those using its services. Daily activities include homework time, structured supervised free play, art, drama, crafts, music, dance and organized team games.
