What is the PowerSchool SIS Parent Portal?

The PowerSchool SIS (Student Information System) Parent Portal is an online resource that gives parents/guardians access to your child (ren's) homework assignments, grades, and more. Updated: Requesting a new PowerSchool SIS Parent/Guardian account request process due to COVID-19.

When is the NC Fast Provider Portal not available?

How do parents/guardians navigate through mypack?

Parents/guardians that have been granted access to their student's information can use the guide below to help navigate throughout MyPack Portal. Log into MyPack Portal using the ‘NCSU Parents/Guests’ login (*Parents who are also Students or Employees of the University will log into MyPack using the ‘NCSU Faculty/Staff/Students’ option.)

The Canvas Parent App

You can now download the Instructure’s Canvas Parent app in both the iTunes and Google Play stores.

The Canvas Web Portal

Parents and facilitators can also access their students’ courses through their computer’s web browser. The setup process is similar to the Canvas Parent app. See the directions below.

Unfinished Instruction Support Plan

As a result of the pandemic, students need more support to master grade-level standards than in previous years. CMS has crafted a plan that ensures that students consistently receive grade-level materials, tasks, and assignments, and have appropriate support to help them demonstrate success.

The new CMS K-12 Grading Plan allows for students to receive specific feedback for continuous growth, academically and socially-emotionally, ensuring all students are set up to be independent and successful learners.

PowerSchool Parent Portal

Parental involvement is critical to a child's education. That's why CMS has provided a user-friendly web application to help parents and families become more involved in education. Parents can check their child's homework assignments, attendance reports, grades and other items from any computer, any time using PowerSchool.

Parent Portal

Home Base is a statewide student information system that replaced NCWISE in the 2013-2014 school year. Home Base gives parents and students access to real-time information including attendance, grades and assignments.

How do I get started in Home Base Parent Portal?

Step 1. Pick up your access letter from your child’s school. Hand deliver the completed access request form to the school. Notarized forms can be mailed to your child’s school.

How will I get my class schedule?

Your school will provide class schedules and other details related to the opening of school.

Why can't I access my SPAN account?

SPAN was linked to our old student information system (NCWISE). In July 2013, the state of North Carolina moved to a new student information system called PowerSchool. The Parent Portal for PowerSchool will be delivered through Home Base. Access codes will be provided to you by the school.

Will elementary schools provide access to the Parent Portal for K-2 students?

No. Parent Portal gradebook does not match the grading procedures for K-2.

Will my child still have access if I do not create an account?

Students will be provided information to access their data even if parents do not request access.
