Postive Cases

A student who tests positive for COVID-19 is required to be out of school in accordance with CDC and/or Oklahoma State Department of Health guidelines and will enter the isolation protocol listed below.

Contact Tracing

When we are notified of a positive case or close contact, school health professionals work collaboratively with the Cleveland County Health Department to begin contact tracing in our schools and reach out to that individual to gather information about their specific case and any close contact that may have occurred while at school or at a school activity.

Notification Process

When there is a positive case of COVID-19 at a school, those determined to have been in close contact with the individual will be personally notified and provided with quarantine information.

Quarantine Protocol

CLOSE CONTACT When there is a positive case at a school, students and teacher (s) who are determined to be in close contact with the individual will be notified, and, depending on their vaccination status, may need to quarantine and can transition to remote learning (provided by their teacher or a substitute) during that time.
