What time does school start in Leon County Schools?

School is in session from 7:30 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. each weekday. Leon County Schools is proud to announce the new Microsoft Office Pro Plus Program to students, parents and employees.

Is Leon County Schools eligible for Office 365?

Leon County Schools meets this requirement! Any student who is currently enrolled in the Leon County School District or active employee is eligible and may download and install Office 365 Pro applications on up to 5 devices (PC, MAC, and/or mobile device). Employees of LCS schools may also do the same using their network credentials

Is Leon County Schools still using Pats?

Leon County Schools will be retiring the old Paperless Applicant Tracking System (PATS) and it will no longer be used as of December 5, 2021. No existing accounts or information from PATS will be carried over to the new system .

How do parents register for the Focus Portal?

The student’s parent will receive a parent portal letter containing a pin number. The parent will receive this letter when attending open house or from their child. If they do not, please contact the school to request a letter.

Can parents with a Custody Alert register for a portal account?

If there is custody alert for a parent, the parent will be able to register for Focus portal but will not be able to add a student to view information.

What is my username?

Your username is the email address you used when registering for an account.

How do I (a parent) reset my Focus Portal password?

When the email arrives, there is a button that will show you your temporary password and then a link that takes you to the login REMEMBER!!! The password provided in the reset email IS ONLY fFOR A ONE (1) TIME USE AND IS A TEMPRARY PASSWORD!! IT DOES NOT FORCE YOU TO RESET IT BEFORE MOVING ON!! You MUST reset your password once you get access or the next time you try to login, you will be locked out again..

How do I know if all my children are listed on my Focus Portal account? What if I do not see my students listed

On the Focus Portal student page, the pulldown at the top right of the screen will contain all students linked to the Parent’s Focus Portal acct. Use the drop down in top right. Make sure you are using Google Chrome. ( If you use IE/Edge you will not see them even if they are actually there)

Can I access the Focus portal using my mobile device?

Once you have created your credentials on the portal, please download the free Leon County District Schools FOCUS app for parents and students through the Apple and Android stores. The app is a great supplement to the Focus Portal designed to enable quick and easy access while mobile.
