Trey Boles -Taylor High School, student

I love the feeling of community in Taylor ISD. We always come together whether it be in difficult times or in times of celebration. The spirit and pride the people of Taylor ISD have is amazing. Taylor ISD has helped me grow into an adventurous person ready to explore the world.

Kelly Windham -Legacy Early College High School, English Teacher

I love working for Taylor ISD because of the phenomenal students that walk through my door every day. They are the reason I do what I do. I'm constantly surrounded by people on the cusp of changing the world, and I get to help them figure out how. What's better than that? Legacy is an incredibly special place to work.

Rebecca Bartoli - Legacy Early College High School, Counselor

I love working in the community where I live. I love seeing our students and families around town outside of the school setting. I feel that the people I work with in Taylor ISD truly care about the students.

Instruction

The curriculum at LECES is considered to be all the experiences that a scholar has while at school. Subject areas taught include: English Language Arts (English, reading, spelling, writing, and speaking), mathematics, science, social studies, health, art, music, and physical education.

Assessments

LECES believes in the power of assessments to inform instruction and gauge scholar mastery of grade level standards. The following assessments will be used throughout the year and scholar performance will be communicated to families through graded work packets, Powerschool gradebook, and parent conferences.

Gifted & Talented

LECES strives to offer scholars performing above grade level the push that they need to continue to grow on their own academic journey. Below is the basic foundation that we provide for such scholars:

Special Services

Special instruction is made available to meet the needs of our children who qualify under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Scholars are served in settings appropriate for their disabilities.

Scholar Services Team

The Scholar Services Team at Legacy Early College Elementary School consists of the scholar services counselor, school social worker, and school psychologist.

School Supplies

As we continue to grow as a community we are shifting the way we are doing supplies. This year we will be using a communal supply area for teachers. Teachers will be able to go to a common space and get the necessary items needed to foster a high functioning and rigorous classroom environment for their scholars.

Education from all angles

At Legacy, we know success comes from more than just classroom study. We focus on developing well-rounded kids who are ready to take on the world when they leave our doors.

Educating world-changers since 2007

We started our district as a small campus in Maricopa, but have taken the same core educational philosophies to expand our district to 19 campuses across Arizona and Nevada, with 3 additional campuses opening in the Fall of 2021 (Deer Valley, East Tucson and Mesa ).
