Johnstown’s Parent Portal through SchoolTool is available to interested parents as well as to students at Knox Junior High and Johnstown High School. The portal provides secure access for parents, guardians and secondary students to view emergency contact information and attendance records.

The portal provides secure access for parents, guardians and secondary students to view emergency contact information and attendance records. Parents of students in grade 3 through high school may access report cards. Parents and students in grades 7 through 12 may access progress reports and student schedules.

How do I Register my child for kindergarten in Jamestown Public Schools?

Jamestown Public Schools will register kindergartners for the 2022-2023 school year by appointment on Thursday, April 28th at the district administration offices located at 197 Martin Road.

The Second Semester Begins on Tuesday February 1st

The Second Semester begins on Tuesday February 1st. Each school day begins at 8:00. Students are allowed to enter through the main doors starting at 7:40 (breakfast) and 7:55 (beginning of the school day).

Six Red Raiders Named to All State Football Teams!

JHS Marching Band Finishes their Season at "The Dome!"

The Jamestown High School Equity Committee partnered with the YWCA's stand against racism event on Friday, April 24th. Students and staff wanted to show that they are united in the stance against racism in our schools and community. They gathered in the front courtyard to take a group photo, which will be featured on the YWCA website along with photos from across the nation under #StandAgainstRacism

What are the guidelines for JPS?

Moving forward, JPS will be following all CDC, American Pediatric Association and any future Chautauqua County Health Department guidelines regarding COVID-19, which currently includes: 1 All students, staff and visitors should maintain a minimum of 3-feet social distancing while anywhere on school grounds. 2 All students, staff and visitors must wear masks while inside all school buildings and on school buses for the safety of our students who cannot yet be vaccinated, except during mask breaks and while eating meals (where distance will be greater than 3 feet). Masks are optional outside school buildings except when students are in the lineup for morning COVID-19 screenings. 3 Daily COVID-19 screenings (including temperature checks) will continue at each school at the beginning of the school day, prior to entering the building. Masks must be worn while in line to wait for the daily screening.

How much money did Jefferson Middle School raise?

Jefferson Middle School students raised $700 through their annual Penny Wars for the special training their comfort dog, Coco, will need to work at the school. Seventh graders raised the most money, $250, and got to throw pies in their favorite staffs’ faces.

Who is the 4th grader in Fill the Bucket?

Lincoln Elementary School fourth grader, Drew Beebe, recently celebrated his cool drawing that graces the school’s “Fill the Bucket'' t-shirts. Because it was difficult to try to do Parents as Reading Partners (PARP) this year, the Lincoln Reading Team came up with a shorter one-week theme based on the children's book, Have You Filled the Bucket Today?: A Guide to Daily Happiness for Kids. The book became the inspiration for a week of fun activities centered around being kind and filling others’ buckets. The t-shirt contest was one of the culminating activities of the week. Winners were selected from each grade level and one winner, Drew, was the grand prizewinner.

When is the Jefferson Middle School Jaguar concert?

The Jefferson Middle School Jaguar Chorus will hold a concert on Thursday June 10th @ 7 PM (in-person is for families only) but there will be a live stream of the concert for the community HERE - enjoy a wonderful concert by our students!
