When can my child start school in Isle of Wight County?

Welcome to Isle of Wight County Schools! Any child who reaches the age of 5 by September 30 of the start of a new school year may enroll as a kindergarten student in IWCS. Students with birthdays after September 30 must wait until the following school year to attend public school in Virginia.

How does PowerSchool work with Iwcs?

IWCS uses PowerSchool to develop class schedules, take attendance, store historical grades, produce transcripts, run report cards, update forms and more. Parents and guardians of students enrolled in IWCS will be able to view student progress through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

How do parents login to the Canvas Parent Portal?

Parents can access the Clever portal to help their child login to Canvas and to communicate with teachers. Just go to: Student username is the student’s IWCS Email Address Student password is the student’s IWCS Email Password Or download the Canvas Parent Portal app from the Apple Store or Google Play. How do I access PowerSchool Parent Portal?

PowerSchool Parent Portal may be accessed from any location with Internet access. The application uses a secure link that encrypts the data to and from the end user and is very secure.

How to contact PowerSchool?

What do you bring to your child's school to complete the registration process?

When you have completed all the data entry required , you will bring the required documentation to your child's school to complete the registration process. Students are admitted to the Learning Center Preschool program based on a separate application process.

CHANGE OF CONTACT INFORMATION

It is imperative that your contact information be up to date in order for you to receive emergency information and other notifications. Do not use the Parent Access Portal to change the primary phone number or email address. Any changes in parental contact information should always be reported directly to your child's school.

If you opted out for a phone number, you will need to call the Connect 5 system directly. The number is 855-502-7865.
