What is PowerSchool and the parent portal?

PowerSchool is the student information system that the HSD uses to manage information such as grades, attendance, demographics, courses, etc. Since PowerSchool is web-based, some of this information can easily and safely be shared with parents and students via an online portal. Can I access the Parent Portal from anywhere? Yes.

What is HISD connect?

WHAT IS HISD CONNECT? The district's Student Information System (SIS), HISD Connect by PowerSchool, includes student contact, enrollment, and demographic information, as well as grades and online resources.

How do parents get access to their students'profiles?

Parents are given a unique code, or access ID, for each of their students and are able to use those codes to set up an account to access their students' profiles through the parent portal. Parents who haven't received their student's access ID should contact their school.

Who can access my child’s Records in the parent portal?

The Parent Portal is hosted through PowerSchool, our secure student information system. Your child’s records can only be accessed by authorized school officials, and those with whom you share your password. My spouse and I are separated/divorced, can we create separate accounts for the same children?

How to create a parent VUE account?

New ParentVUE Users: Create an Account 1 Go to https://myvue.cascadetech.org/hillsboro in your web browser, or open the mobile app. 2 Click I am a parent. 3 Click Español for Spanish translation, if needed. 4 Click Activate Account/Reset Password. 5 Click Activate Account. 6 Read the Privacy Statement and click I Accept. 7 Enter your Name and Activation Key. Enter the name exactly as it appears in our student data system and click Continue to Step 3. 8 Choose a username and password (at least 6 characters), provide an email address, and click Complete Account Activation.

Why is my student account disabled?

A. Account may be disabled due to excessive incorrect login attempts or other security reasons. To reactivate your account call your student's school.

What is StudentVUE?

StudentVUE StudentVUE allows students to access their class schedule, assignments, grades, and more. Students will access the portal using their school username and password.

Does ParentVue have pop up windows?

A. ParentVUE uses pop-up windows. Make sure your internet browser is set to allow pop-ups.

Does ParentVue show school information?

ParentVUE offers a single sign-on to view school information for all of their children, regardless of the grade level or school of attendance. If playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device. Videos you watch may be added to the TV's watch history and influence TV recommendations.
