What information is available through the school portal?

Some of the types of information available through this portal are: school announcements, attendance, grades (current and historical), and schedules. The portal will also be used by parents and students to manage course requests for middle and high school. The portal can be accessed from any computer connected to the Internet.

How do I Activate my Parent Portal account?

New Parent Portal Account Users: If you are identified as the student's parent/guardian, click HERE to receive an electronic copy of the GUID activation code needed to activate your Parent Portal account. In order to proceed, you will need to know your child's student number, last four of his/her social security number, and his/her date of birth.

What time do exams start at Henley College?

All students are expected to be ready to enter the exam room (usually the Sports Hall or Rotherfield Hall) at least ten minutes before the scheduled start of an exam. For The Henley College, this is - 9.00 a.m. for the morning session; 1.30 p.m. for the afternoon session.

How do I update my family's information in Parent Portal?

It is time to update your family's information in Parent Portal! Please select MORE in the menu to the left to start updating and verifying your information. IMPORTANT: This year, you will be selecting a transportation option for each of your Henry County students.

What is the PowerSchool Parent Portal?

The PowerSchool Parent Portal allows parents, guardians, and other appropriate individuals to view information contained in the ACPS PowerSchool student information system (SIS). Some of the types of information available through this portal are: school announcements, attendance, grades (current and historical), and schedules. The portal will also be used by parents and students to manage course requests for middle and high school.

Where is the Help link on the student portal?

You can use the Help link in the top right corner to access online help resources.

What to do if you no longer have access to your school email?

If you no longer have access to the email account that you used to create your portal account, you will need to contact the school to have a new email address associated with your portal account.

Which browsers are supported by ACPS?

ACPS recommends that you use one of the following browsers Internet Explorer (version 8 or later), Firefox (version 3.6 or later), or Safari (version 4 or later). Other browsers may work, but are not officially supported.

Can multiple students create their own portal?

Multiple individuals can create accounts that the same student ( e.g. each parent could have their own portal account). If other individuals wish to create their own accounts for a student, they will need to use the same Access Key.

Can you create an access key for another student?

You can create your account with one Access Key and add other students at a later date when you receive additional Access Keys. Anyone with a student’s Access Key can access that student’s information through the portal, so protect the Access Key information as you would protect other confidential information.

Do you need access key for portal?

You must have an Access Key to create a portal account. Access Keys consist of an Access ID and an Access Password. Schools distribute Access Keys to parents, so if you need your student’s portal Access Key, please contact your student’s school.

Additional Costs

  • Books and Equipment
    Some books and equipment are provided. You may be asked to buy other books and/or equipment. A full list of charges to students for books and equipment for courses is available on request and indicated on the subject/course entry.
  • Educational Visits
    From time to time students may be asked to participate in educational visits. Students will be notified in advance of such expenditure. There is a small fund to support educational visits. Find our more on the Finance page.

Homework

  • While it is difficult to give precise guidelines for all subjects and courses, students are expected to give in addition at least two thirds of the time they spend in the classroom to their own work.
