What are gym America's non-competitive meets?

From our non-competitive Fun Meets and year-end Grand Finale, where everyone earns awards, to the USA Gymnastics competitive meets where advanced gymnasts compete at Levels 4 through 10, there is a place for everyone to excel. Gym America is proud to host the Wolverine Classic and the Girl Power Invitational meet each year!

We have an incredible birthday party staff that will make your child’s day the best it can be. Gym America offers a variety of different options for birthday parties. Birthday parties include one supervised hour in the gym which includes the activities of your choice and 30 minutes in the party area for your refreshments/food and presents.

Established in 2004, Gym Like This! is a year-round training center offering gymnastics, tumbling, cheerleading, birthday parties and camps for children of all ages. Learning is life's highest adventure. Our focus is on the emotional, physical and mental well-being of students, with emphasis on inspiring our students to enjoy learning.

TOPs

Gym America offers the USA Gymnastics “TOPs” (Talent Opportunity Program) program to gifted female gymnasts, ages 7 to 11, who train in our competitive program Levels 4 through 10. Each year we test the physical, mental and emotional development of our athletes to make sure we are providing the challenges and opportunities they are ready for.

Kickstart

Kickstart is a strength and flexibility program for gymnasts in Michigan. It’s a great program which enhances gymnastics training. Gymnasts from all over the state attend the testing, and the top 10 gymnasts in each age group qualify to the Kick Start Training Camp.

What is Gym America?

Laura developed Gym America – Gymnastics & Dance Center to be the place that every child asks to go to because they WANT to learn and they LOVE to LEARN . This center offers a menagerie of classes and activities that every child will enjoy. Whether your daughter/son has dreams of being a ballerina in the Nutcracker, a gymnast in the Olympics, a cheerleader, or a hip-hop expert, we have the class for them! We are very excited to announce that we will be moving to a bigger location in the fall of 2019 or early winter. We will keep everyone posted on the exact timing of our move. Our new and improved facility will be within a few minutes of our current location. More details coming soon! Here are some things you can look forward to at our new facility:

Who is the founder of Gym America?

Gym America – Gymnastics & Dance Center was created by the founder, Laura Carr and in order to maximize the potential of every child who walks through our doors. In an effort to provide children with the most stimulating and innovative learning environment possible, Laura developed a center that recognizes all children for their uniqueness and strengths and strives in every way possible to provide them what they personally need to reach their maximum potential. In this endeavor, Laura has created an environment in which learning is maximized through various movement activities ensuring that all children receive a variety of sensory input throughout their day. We focus on learning fundamental skills in a fun and positive environment.

Recreational classes focus on skill progression, strength, flexibility, and coordination for kids all ages that are ready to move from the living room to the gym.

Competitive Gymnastics
