Third Grade Summer Reading Camp offers students who scored a Level 1 on the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) opportunities to advance and improve their reading skills.

Assessments

FSA: the Florida Standards Assessment is part of Florida’s overall plan to increase student achievement by implementing higher standards. The FSA, administered to students in Grades 3-11, measures individual student performance against national norms.

Winter Weather

Hello Gilchrist Family!! It is that time of year again! Time to dig out the winter clothing. Please pay close attention to the weather and send your little ones with coats, hats, and scarfs if they are needed. If your child needs help with warmer clothing please contact the office. Keep warm!!

EARLY CHILDHOOD LEARNING PROGRAMS OVERVIEW

Gilchrist County Schools provide multiple opportunities for parents to enroll their child in an early learning program. We feel that early learning is such an important facet of a child's education, because it gives them a good start to their educational career.

SCREENINGS

Spring Roundup is held each spring to identify children for possible placement in one of our programs. Screenings are held several times throughout the year, and you may call the school for information on upcoming dates. All screenings will be done at the Pre-K building located in Trenton next to the County Office.

What is Infinite Campus?

Infinite Campus Portal is a tool for parents and students to access instant, online, timely and secure student information including: class schedule, assignments, attendance, discipline, course registrations for next year, report cards, and transcripts.

Who is eligible to have a Campus Portal account?

Parents of current students are eligible to activate a Parent Portal account, after agreeing to the terms and conditions of use. The Infinite Campus Portal is a tool used to further promote educational excellence by enhancing our program of communication with parents and students.
