What is the Geneva city school district Parent Portal?

Welcome to the Geneva City School District's Parent Portal. This SchoolTool portal allows you to keep track of your child's progress in school, with information about grades, assignments, attendance and schedules at your fingertips. To sign up for a Parent Portal account an application form must be completed (see link below).

How do I get access to the parent portal?

For first-time access to the Parent Portal, fill out our online Parent Portal Application Request. Go to the SchoolTool website. In the login box where it says “Username,” type in the e-mail address that you submitted to the school district. In the “Password” section, enter the password you received when you signed up for your SchoolTool account.

The Geneva City School District is seeking school bus drivers. Successful candidates will be provided with paid training and an hourly rate of $15.94 per hour.

The Geneva City School District has appointed two long-standing Geneva administrators to serve as elementary school principals this year.

Logging In

After installing and opening the schooltool mobile app, first time users will be prompted to enter schooltool credentials.

Menu

You can access the navigation menu at any time by swiping the screen horizontally from the edge of the screen, moving from left to right. This menu allows you to quickly navigate to any student screen.

Home Screen

After logging in successfully, you will be presented with a home screen that shows data for each student to whom you have access.

Courses View

The Courses view for a student includes 2 tabs (current and full schedule). Slide the screen horizontally to navigate between tabs.

Assignments View

The Assignments view for a student includes 2 tabs (by date and by course). Slide the screen horizontally to navigate between tabs.

Attendance View

The Attendance view for a student includes 2 tabs (daily and course attendance). Slide the screen horizontally to navigate between tabs.

Enabling Notifications

For Android, use the Settings area in the app to choose whether or not to receive notifications. For iOS users, this is managed in the Notification Center in your device’s Settings area.

Phase 1

Stop by our office or call to schedule an appointment with Central Registration. At this appointment you will be asked to provide the following:

Phase 2

The student’s previous records will be requested by central registration on the date of registration. Please keep in mind that we cannot move forward until these records are sent. Central registration will send along necessary paperwork to transportation, cafeteria, nurse, technology, pupil personnel services and guidance upon receipt of records.

Phase 3

Once all records are obtained and registration complete at the middle and high school, you will receive a call from the guidance office to meet with a counselor and set up a schedule. At this appointment they will let you know your student’s actual start date.
