What is the school choice window for GUHSD?

Grossmont Union High School District is comitted to providing parents and families the support needed for student success in school. Click on any of the tabbed links below for more information about GUHSD services and resources. The School Choice Window is now closed. The School Choice option will no longer be available in the parent portal.

What information can parents access through the portal?

Through the Portal, parents will be able to access their students’ information, such as class schedules, coursework, attendance and academic reports via the Internet. Parents will also be able to submit updates to emergency and family contact information via the Portal.

What is the Home Access Center for charter high schools?

Granada Hills Charter High School is pleased to offer students, parents and guardians access to student schedules, attendance, assigned class work, grades, and more through a web-based application called the Home Access Center. The system is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except during routine maintenance periods.

Is the Infinite Campus parent portal available to parents and guardians?

Again, please keep this information in a safe place and do not share it with anyone else. One of the important features of Infinite Campus is the Campus Parent Portal. The Portal is available to every parent/guardian of a student enrolled within the South-Western City School District.

What is IC in school?

Infinite Campus (IC) is the District’s Internet-based student information system. Important features of IC are the Parent Portal and NEW Mobile App. Through the IC tools, parents are able to access their child’s information, such as class schedules, attendance, academic reports, transportation information, coursework, and put funds in their child’s food service account online. Parents can also designate how and where they wish to receive emergency communications, attendance calls, general announcement messages, and e-mail messages from teachers, the school, and the school district. New accounts need an activation key. The district will be mailing those out in August, so save the letter if you need to create a new account.

Is the 2021-2022 school year open?

Registration for the 2021-2022 school year is open. Please visit our District Website at www.swcsd.us to follow our step-by-step enrollment and registration process or call our Student Enrollment Center at (614) 801-6280 to speak with an enrollment specialist regarding registering your child to attend one of our schools.

Hero Elementary, a new multi-platform animated PBS KIDS series, premiered on June 1. The series is geared toward children ages 4 -7 and teaches them to problem solve by thinking and acting like scientists to ignite their natural curiosity. Here is the Channel listing.

SuperSheets are technology-enhanced PDF worksheets that are easy for students to use and print off at home. The SuperSheets PDF can be uploaded in Google Classroom or printed out and made into packets for students with limited internet access.

It is a block of programs for children in grades K-3 and 7-10 developed by Virginia's public media stations and the Virginia Department of Education, based on educational priority areas for the state and content that is available for broadcast.

The Virginia Department of Education's (VDOE) English Learner Instruction Program will offer a new series of webinars geared to support families as they prepare for the upcoming school year , specifically supporting learning at home.
