What is the difference between Florence and Penrose schools?

Florence is the home of the district's administration offices, Fremont Elementary School, Fremont Middle School, and Florence High School, newly built in 2006. Penrose is home to a K-5 elementary school built in 2005.

What's new at Florence 1 schools?

Click to view a slideshow of district renovations. Florence 1 Schools has introduced a brand-new economics course this school year, becoming the first K-12 school district in the state to offer it. The district was able to introduce the course thanks, in part, to a grant from The School Foundation.

What is the graduation rate in Florence SC?

In 2021 Florence 1 had a 91.2 percent graduation rate, the district’s highest graduation rate ever, compared to the state’s 83.3 percent. Students are required to attend school a minimum of 170 of the school year 180 days to receive credit for the academic school year. PowerSchool's Parent Portal provides real-time access for parents to their child's grades, attendance, assignments, and more.

What is PowerSchool online?

PowerSchool is an online resource that allows you to see your student’s grades, attendance, and teacher assignments. It allows you to set up an email address to receive reports.
