Who can access student information through Opus?

Current students, prospective students, faculty, administrative staff, and former students can access student information through OPUS. Additionally, students have the ability to sponsor accounts for guests in OPUS to do such functions as pay bills, view grades or sign up for the Emory Payment Plan.

What does Opus stand for?

Access: Emory University Faculty, Staff, and Students PeopleSoft SA's OPUS (Online Pathway to University Students) is Emory's online student information system.

What is the Opus guest program?

Guests are given a unique username and password to access the OPUS portal and complete various tasks such as making one-time payments, waiving student health insurance, viewing charges and financial aid, or accessing academic information. Students are responsible for selecting what access they would like to grant to each Guest.

How many Opus accounts can I add to my account?

Students can add up to five guest accounts in the OPUS student portal. What is guest access in opus?

Guest Access is a feature in OPUS (our student record system) that allows your student to grant up to five individuals access to their OPUS student record. The level of access that a guest is granted is directly controlled by your student, and may include their financial aid information, billing, class schedule, and grades. Guest Access may be granted or revoked by your student at any time.

What is the FERPA law?

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requires that your student must give us consent before we can release specific personal information to you, including grades. Your student can give or revoke consent by completing the Emory College Letter of Consent.

What is EUSHS in medical?

Emory University Student Health Services (EUSHS) provides outpatient care for all enrolled Emory students with a valid Emory ID card. The vision of Emory University Student Health Services is to help students to excel, both while at the University and beyond, by promoting wellness as a state of optimal human functioning.

Deposit

Once the student is accepted to the program, the $350 non-refundable enrollment deposit secures enrollment and counts towards the total cost of the program.

Bill Pay Information

Beginning in mid-April, tuition and fee charges will post to the student's OPUS account after enrollment. All of the charges will not post at the same time. Be sure to check the account periodically for updated balance information.

Guest Access

Students can add up to five guest accounts in the OPUS student portal.

Bill Payer

If you will be paying your student's bills each semester, we recommend speaking with your student about being added as a Bill Payer. Students can add your email address as the Bill Payer under the Profile tile in OPUS.

Nelnet Authorized Party

With our new partnership with Nelnet, parents can setup and manage their student's monthly payment plan without relying on the student for notification. To start, your student must access the Nelnet Payment Plan website to add you as an Authorized Party.
