What is the parent portal (Parent Portal)?

The Portal (or Parent Portal) serves as the landing space for accessing and updating important information throughout your child's time in Edina Public Schools. Edina Public Schools uses Infinite Campus as its student information system (SIS) and Schoology as a virtual classroom.

What is the portal?

The Portal is a confidential and secure website that enables Single Sign On for parents, staff and students to access various applications. For parents at this time, the two applications are Infinite Campus and Schoology. What information is included in the Portal?

What information can parents/guardians see in the portal?

Each parent/guardian Portal account provides access to information for those students for which the parent/guardian has legal rights to records. The Campus Portal incorporates the highest level of security. Parents/guardians can see only information related to the students they are authorized to view.

What is the difference between the Staff Portal and student portal?

The Staff Portal App allows teachers and administrators to view and edit information related to classes, students, profiles, and more. Students have everything they need to manage their education with the Student Portal mobile application. Features include online classes, assignment submission, class schedules, and much more.

What is Infinite Campus?

Today, all K12 school districts use a database system for managing student information and maintaining student records.

Campus Portal

The Campus Portal provides students and guardians with real-time access to their information as it is entered by teachers, counselors and staff. It is also accessible from any Apple iOS and Android device. The Campus Portal reduces printing and mailing costs and minimizes lost school-to-home communications.

Security

Only parents and guardians designated with legal rights to student records may receive a Campus Portal account. Each parent/guardian with such rights receives their own separate account. Accounts are NOT shared among more than one parent/guardian within households, i.e., there are no "household" accounts in the Portal.
