What is parent and family programs?

Parent and Family Programs is the office that supports you, as parents and family members of East Carolina University students. You play an important role at ECU and we believe that the more you know about the university, the more you can contribute to your student’s success here, and we want to be your partner in your child’s education.

How do I add students to my parent and family portal?

You can add each student in your Parent and Family Portal account by clicking the graduation cap icon and selecting “Go to my connections.” Once on the connections page, fill out a connection request for your first student. Once completed, click the plus sign next to your student’s name at the top.

ECU Parent Services

Our Parent and Family Programs staff are here to help you connect with all of the resources available to the parents of ECU students. Special informative programs for parents are offered during orientation week and parents’ weekend.

ITCS Notification - Piratedrive, PiratePort and Banner Dependant Systems, ECU Departmental Webpages, and Kronos

System/Service: Piratedrive When: Friday, February 18th from 5:00pm through Sunday, February 20th at 12:00pm Description: Starting Friday evening, February 18th ITCS will begin the process of migrating the PIRATEDRIVE storage environment to new hardware to provide better performance, increased security and higher data availability.

Please keep in mind that regular maintenance on all computing systems is performed on Sundays between the hours of 5:00 am - 12:00 pm. If there are other times that systems will be down, notification will be sent through ITCS Notifications.
