Along with academics, our Y5-8 scholars are also exposed to the arts and more. We offer art, music, technology, and physical education classes each week.

Music and Band

We offer music classes for our scholars to express themselves through music and teamwork. Middle school students in band receive lessons in wind, brass and percussion instruments.

6th - 8th Grade

Middle school is a time of personal growth and discovery. Students have the skills to nurture their academic strengths and interests, exploring complex ideas in all subject areas. Building on previous knowledge and skills, children can apply higher-level thinking to reach beyond the classroom.

We are authorized by Grand Valley State University. They sponsor and monitor us to ensure we achieve academic results and uphold the promises made in our charter.

Free Meals for All Students

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently announced that they will continue serving meals to children at no cost, through June 30, 2022 . This will ensure, no matter what the situation is, children have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic.

How does the NHA Parent Portal work?

The NHA Parent Portal allows parents and guardians to access their child's information online through their computer or smart phone. Parents can view student grades, fill out school forms, contact school staff, check attendance record, view the school calendar, make payments for school lunch, and view your notifications or account settings.
