What is the student handbook for 2020-2021?

The 2020-2021 Student Handbook contains important information about Attendance, Tardies, the Dress Code, Discipline, etc. All students are responsible for abiding by the rules as per the student handbook.

What is a SAC?

School Advisory Council (SAC) The School Advisory Council (SAC) is comprised of parents, teachers, and community members who help are responsible for approving the school budget, School Performance Plan, the by-laws of all clubs and organizations, the try-out policies of all sports, and other items as needed. All volunteers are welcome!

The Okaloosa School District recently released an app that includes breaking news and access to student grades. The app is available for Android or Apple products. Search iOCSD in the App Store or click the link to download the Apple App or Android App.

Does Okaloosa County School District pay for school meals?

The Okaloosa County School District is pleased to be able to offer an additional method of payment for school meals and activities, such as band, chorus, sports and clubs, as well as field trips and items such as yearbooks, class T-shirts, etc.

Can students bring their own devices to CHS?

Many classes at CHS allow students to bring their own devices in order to enhance their classroom learning experience. Students must have a parent-signed Mobile Usage Agreement on file to participate.

SAT SCHOOL DAY

Pre-registration for the March 2nd SAT School Day has begun! This registration is for SENIORS ONLY who need a concordant score! All Juniors are already registered. Covid-19 Testing

COVID-19 testing has been a challenge for many of our families. As a result, the Okaloosa County School District has partnered with the Department of Health to provide a COVID-19 testing site for SYMPTOMATIC students and employees. Hours are 7:30-12:15. Free of charge.

Breakfast and Lunch

The USDA has announced that ALL students-regardless of family income- will be able to have a free breakfast and lunch at their school during the 2021 – 2022 school year! This is for the basic breakfast and lunch offered. For lunch, students may still purchase a la carte items.

How much are lockers per year?

Lockers are $5.00 per year. Lockers will be on sale before school and during lunches beginning the first day of school. Payment should be cash or check only. How much is a parking permit in a school?

Parking permits are required for students who will be parking on campus. Parking permits are $25.00. Parking permits will be on sale before or after school beginning the first day of school. Students must show a valid Driver’s license, proof of Insurance and know their tag number prior to purchasing a Parking permit.

How to access student grades?

Access. To access your student's grades, you will need a UserID (Student Number) and password. If you have lost or do not know your UserID and password, you can obtain one by completing the MIS 4339 Form and returning it to your child's school.

How to keep track of grades on Parent Portal?

A feature within the Parent Portal allows parents to keep track of their child's grades by email notification. Simply sign up for the email notification by clicking the “Set up Email” link after you log in to the Parent Portal. A verification email will be sent to you and will contain instructions regarding the set-up process.
