Does CSU Chico provide access to confidential student information?

Access to confidential student information is protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). It is the student's right to decide to share their student record information with others. CSU, Chico staff can answer questions about the Guest User account setup, but are not authorized to reset passwords or provide access.

How to Apply

CCDS conducts our admissions process through School Mint. School Mint can be accessed here, from the Apply Now button on our website homepage, or through the School Mint app available at the Apple Store / iOS or Google Play / Android.

Kindergarten Applicants

A child must turn 5 years old on or before September 1 (EC Section 48000 [a]). We do not make exceptions to this rule.

TK Applicants

A child must turn 5 years old between September 2 and February 2 (EC Section 48000 [a]). We do not make exceptions to this rule.

When was the CCDS charter school established?

Our Charter School was established in 1996 and the CCDS Charter was revised and most recently unanimously renewed in September of 2019. Our Charter sets out the goals, methods, structure and philosophy which guide our school.

What is CCDS in education?

CCDS has created a learning environment where children become literate, cultured, life-long learners who strive for academic excellence. Through a united school, parent and community effort, CCDS emphasizes social consciousness and responsibility to a democratic society, self-confidence and compassion, and appreciation and respect for the natural world.

Daily Schedule

Our middle school students have six class periods per day. Through the course of each day, students have English, math, science history and PE. Students will also take an elective class each quarter and will be a part of an Advisory group.

What Makes Us Unique?

CCDS is considered a local leader in technology education and application, and that continues through the middle school grades. We currently have 1:1 chromebooks for student use. All classrooms have large TV screens; teachers use document cameras and computers to display on the TV.
