What is BTES?

Welcome to BTES! Welcome to the Berkeley Township Elementary School! B.T.E.S. houses all the fifth and sixth-grade students from Berkeley Township. Our objective is to create an environment wherein all children feel safe and are afforded the opportunity to maximize their individual academic potential.

What is the Buffalo public school system Parent Portal?

The Buffalo Public School System makes available a variety of technological resources to support learning and enhance instruction. The goal of the Parent Portal is to promote educational excellence and to enhance communications with parents. The Parent Portal allows parents to view their child’s school records anywhere, any time.

What is the Canvas Parent Portal?

For classes utilizing the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), the Canvas Parent Portal allows parents to join their child's classroom experience as a digital observer. Ask your teachers if they are using Canvas in their classrooms!

Bank Draft - FREE!

You may set up an automatic bank draft so that you never have to worry about writing a check or missing a payment because you’re on vacation. Customers' bank accounts are drafted the current amount due on the due date. Click here for the bank draft form. Please allow BTES at least ten business days to process your bank draft application.

Drop Boxes - FREE!

We have three drop boxes that you may use to make your payment. Two are at our office on Volunteer Parkway – one is in the parking lot between Avoca Elementary School and the BTES office, and the other is located in the drive-thru lane, which is on the side of the building closest to the drive-in theater.

In-Person - FREE!

You may pay your bill via cash, check, or money order at our offices at 2470 Volunteer Parkway from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Checkout

CheckOut is a fast and convenient way to pay your BTES bill with cash at participating retailers. CheckOut lets you pay your bill with cash at locations with extended hours such as Dollar General and CVS Pharmacy, and the payment applies to your account immediately! Online Using an E-Check

You will need your account number and password and the information imprinted on your check. The system will walk you through the steps. A fee of $1.00 will be charged for each transaction. Click here to log-in to your account. You will be able to view your bill, check your balance and pay your bill.

By Mail

You may mail your payment to us in the envelope provided with your bill to PO Box 549 Bristol, TN 37621.

Other Locations

Payments may also be made at several local banks. They are Bank of Tennessee, Regions Bank and First Tennessee.

What is sensitive information?

Sensitive information – Private information such as health, financial, student, and personnel data that is protected by law from public disclosure or unauthorized access, and other information for which protection is required based on confidentiality agreements, policies, or similar requirements.

Can you use the Parent Portal for illegal activities?

Users must not use the Parent Portal for any illegal activity, including violation of data privacy laws. Users will use copyrighted materials in accordance with the “fair use” doctrine (Title 17 USC § 107) and will not copy, distribute, or transmit a third party’s information in violation of copyright laws.

Does Buffalo Public School have a home computer?

The Buffalo Public Schools does not provide technical support for your home/work computer system. Sanction s. A violation of Buffalo Public School Parent Portal policy may lead to corrective action pursuant to the provisions of applicable law.

Is Parent Portal complete?

Parent Portal is not the complete or official record. Information on the portal may not be complete or correct at all times and is constantly being updated. For official student records contact your child’s teacher and/or school. Users are expected to:
