How many weeks of gymnastics training is there at Branch Gymnastics?

What events can boys classes work on?

Also, since our classes are divided by gender, the boys classes can now work almost exclusively on the men’s training events: rings, parallel bars, high bar, pommel horse, vault, and floor.

What is branch year end recital?

The Branch Year-End Recital is an exhibition that takes place each June. We invite family and friends into the gym to have their gymnasts show off many of the skills they have worked on throughout the year. Each class will perform a sequence of skills / routine on the different events. We ask all observers to sit in the designated safety zone seating, take pictures, and cheer them on as they go. At the end of the recital, we reward all gymnasts for their great effort throughout the year with a medal!

What is branch gymnastics?

From back handspring skill clinics and back tuck clinics to open gym for athletes of all ages, Branch Gymnastics offers many different specialty clinics throughout the year. These specialty clinics meet the needs of all ages and skills levels and provide extra opportunities for practice and gym time. Available to members only.

Does Branch Gymnastics require a health screening?

Branch Gymnastics now requires a health screening agreement (accepted via scan of a QR code at our check-in kiosk) to participate in each class. More information can be found here.

What do gymnasts wear?

Girls may wear a leotard, biketard or a T-shirt and shorts for gymnastics. We recommend form fitting athletic attire. Boys may wear a T-shirt and shorts. Please do not have your gymnast wear a midriff showing shirt or cut-off shorts. For safety, we do not allow socks, tights, hats, belts, or any clothes with rivets or metal decorations. Long hair must be pulled back in a ponytail, and jewelry (other than stud earrings) are not allowed. For dance, karate or other specialty classes, please check with your instructor. We sell various leotards and t- shirts in our pro shops—be sure to check them out!

Is athlete safety important at branch gymnastics?

Can a 5 year old wait outside of the gymnasium?

For various safety reasons, your child will not be allowed to wait for you outside the building. For those gymnasts younger than 5 in the “Junior Gym” or Momentum Dance, we ask that you stay for the class in case your child needs to use the bathroom or otherwise requires your assistance.

SUMMERFEST DAY CAMPS & CLASSES

Our SummerFest Day Camps are an excellent option for kids ages 3-12! We have camps for both preschool-aged children and for school-aged children. Day camps offer lots of variety, fun, and excitement.

Gymnastics Camps

All gymnastics camps are offered to both school age and preschool students. All camps include 2 or 3 hours of physical activity (gymnastics, tumbling, ninja, etc.), crafts, and a snack. All camps run Monday through Thursday.

Dance Camps

All dance camps include 2 or 3 hours of dance, crafts, and a snack. All camps run Monday through Thursday.

GYMFEST SUMMER CAMP

GymFest week is all about gymnastics, friends, and fun! Meet gymnasts and coaches from all over the nation who are selected based on their ability to teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced gymnastics with correct fundamentals and the newest techniques. This incredible summer camp is designed for boys and girls ages 7 to 18 years old.

HOLIDAY DAY CAMPS

Join Branch Gymnastics for hours of Halloween themed fun including a costume contest, Halloween games, crafts and preschool appropriate gymnastics!

Where is Momentum Dance Studios located?

Momentum Dance Studios, located at KidsSports USA in Kalamazoo, is proud to offer a wide variety of exceptional dance classes! Yearlong classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, modern, and gymnastics combo are offered for students beginning at age 3.

What is Momentum Dance Studio?

Momentum Dance Studio’s Performance Company is a competitive group for dancers who are interested in extra training and taking their dancing to the next level. Dancers must also be enrolled in Ballet, Jazz, Jazz Technique, and a Stretch class while being a part of the competitive team. This group competes at a minimum of three competitions each year and attends one annual dance convention. Members of the competitive team will have the opportunity to take class with professional dancers and earn scholarships and other awards.

What is a pre-ballet class?

Pre-ballet and gymnastics combo classes provide a fun and creative introduction to dance. Classes will include a short warm-up with gentle stretching, learning basic fundamentals of ballet and gymnastics technique, learning to take turns across the floor, developing balance and rhythm, and encouraging creativity through imaginative exercises.
