We invite you to try our program and find out how Berks East Gymnastics can be an important part of your child's development. Instructional classes are available for boys and girls, tots through teens.

Beginner - 6 and up – First Grade and Older

A great introduction to gymnastics for children of all ages. This 1- hour class focuses on developing basic skills on all the apparatus including trampoline. We offer girls, co-ed and boys only classes.

Intermediate and Boys Intermediate - 6 and up

This 1- hour class builds on the foundation skills in gymnastics and introduces more complex skills. We recommend that students at this level take advantage of our 2nd class discounts to enroll in more than one class per week.

Cheer Tumble - 6 and up

Special 1-hour classes designed for the child ages 9 and up who wants to work only on tumbling and trampoline skills. A fantastic class for cheerleaders. Special rates available for enrolling entire cheer squad.

Open Gym - 6 and up

For ages 6 and older, non-members are welcome! A great opportunity to practice the skills of your choice. Staff is stationed at various apparatus to supervise and assist gymnasts during this 90-minute class. A fun evening of gymnastics that's a great supplement to regular classes.

Private Lessons - 6 and up

Private and semi-private lessons are available for students interested in specialized instruction.

Team Programs - By tryout or invitation only

A great opportunity to participate in group activities, performances, and competitions. Includes both Power TeamGym and Acro and Tumbling Teams.

Who owns Berks East Gymnastics?

Berks East Gymnastics is owned and operated by Mike Vanim. Mike is a member of the Pennsylvania State Gymnastics Committee. Mike has been involved in gymnastics since 1991 as a coach, and a judge.

Is Berks East Gymnastics a professional?

We are very proud of our professional staff here at Berks East Gymnastics. Each instructor is a gymnastics professional and trained to safely bring out the best in each child by encouraging each child to exceed their perceived limitations.#N#All Staff is USA Gymnastics Safety Certified, and Instructor/Professional Members in USA Gymnastics.#N#Our master staff has over 100 years of combined teaching experience. Each instructor has also successfully completed the USA Gymnastics Safety-Risk Management course as part of their training. In addition, our staff participates in regular continuing education clinics and seminars as part of their commitment to excellence.

Where is Gianna from Berks?

Gianna is a level 9 gymnast at Berks East. This will be her second year coaching. She has coached kids from TumbleBear Tots to Beginner classes. She attends Spring-Ford High School and really enjoys helping kids and volunteering.

How many years has Bridget been a gymnast?

She has been a competitive gymnast for 7 years. Bridget has been a member on both the artistic gymnastics and GFA teams at Berks East. Bridget also has one brother. In her spare time Bridget enjoys traveling and spending time with friends. Some of Bridget’s favorite gymnastics memories include team camp and fly away meets.

Who is Peggy Vanim?

Peggy Vanim. Peggy is a retired educator . She worked at Rose Tree Media School District as a Health and Physical Education teacher, at Neumann College as Athletic Director and Vice President for Student Affairs and at West Chester University as Director of Off Campus and Commuter Life.

Where is Hailee from Berks East?

Hailee has been coaching at Berks East Gymnastics for two years now, and has been doing gymnastics for about nine years. She has been on the artistic competitive team for 7 years. One of her biggest challenges was coming back from a recent injury in her back. One of her favorite T.V. shows is Friends. She is currently a sophomore in high school, and taking all honors classes. She has two sisters and one brother and enjoys travelling with her family.
