Benalla P-12 College has three campuses: the Faithfull Campus, Waller Campus and Avon Campus. The Faithfull campus houses the students from Years 5-12 and is located on the site of the former Benalla Technical College. The main office and administration activities occur on the Faithfull campus.

What is Benalla P-12?

This includes information about a person’s country of birth , aboriginality , language spoken at home and parent occupation. This information is collected so that Benalla P-12 College receives appropriate resource allocations for their students. It is also used by the Department to plan for future educational needs in Victoria. Some information is sent to Commonwealth government agencies for monitoring, planning and resource allocation. All of this information is kept strictly confidential and the Department will not otherwise disclose the information to others without your consent or as required by law.

What is a primary family?

NOTE: The ‘PRIMARY’ Family is: “the family or parent the student mostly lives with”. Additional and Alternative family forms are available from the school if this is required. These additional forms are designed to cater for varying family circumstances.

Can a child be enrolled conditionally?

In some circumstances a child may be enrolled conditionally, particularly if the required enrolment documentation to determine the shared parental responsibility arrangements for a child is not provided. Please refer to the School Policy & Advisory Guide’s Admission page for more information

Can you access Benalla P-12 records?

In most circumstances you and/or the student (for older students) can access records about the student that are held by Benalla P-12 College. Sometimes access to certain information, such as information provided by someone else, may require a Freedom of Information request. We will advise you if this is required and tell you how you can do this.

Overview

About the school

Benalla P-12 College has three campuses: the Faithfull Campus, Waller Campus and Avon Campus. The Faithfull campus houses the students from Years 5-12 and is located on the site of the former Benalla Technical College. The main office and administration activities occur on the Faithfull campus. In 2019, the Weary Dunlop Education Centre opened on the Faithfull campus to students in years 10-12. This saw the closure of the old Dunlop campus.

History

The Dunlop Campus was founded in 1912 as Benalla High School. In 1994 it amalgamated with the Benalla Secondary College to form Benalla College.

Notable alumni

• Sir Edward "Weary" Dunlop - an Australian surgeon who was renowned for his leadership whilst being held prisoner by the Japanese during World War II.
• Hector Waller DSO and Bar - Captain of the HMAS Perth during World War Two. Evacuated Singapore during the Fall of Singapore. Mentioned in Dispatches. Died during the sinking of the HMAS Perth, 1942.
