LET'S GET INVOLVED!

Our community of parents is vibrant and active. There are many opportunities to be involved at BHNS as a volunteer or participant.

PTP (Parent Teacher Partnership)

The BHNS Parent Teacher Partnership (PTP) is a committee comprised of BHNS parents, teachers and administrators, that supports our school and its educational goals by facilitating community building for families and staff.

INDEPENDENT SCHOOL

We are an independent school. As a non-profit organization, we are proud of our reputation as a community school. The school has been a significant factor in keeping Beacon Hill and surrounding communities family friendly for decades.

CURRICULUM

Our curriculum is designed to both challenge our children and build self-confidence. each teacher serves as a catalyst, orchestrating exploration, stimulating thoughts and processes, helping define limits – and guiding interpersonal relationships.

NURSERY-AGED CHILDREN

Nursery-aged children cycle through developmental stages at differing speeds. Because BHNS attempts to place children in the classes by age and social and cognitive readiness, teachers are able to present material in a way that most precisely meets the specific interests and abilities of each child.

ROUTINE

A consistent 5-day routine for pre-schoolers provides a comfortable structure for our children. The carefully planned sequence balances independent activity with small and large group times, and quiet choices with active ones.

STAY AND PLAY

Every Monday 1pm to 3pm we offer a stay and play for just £1 per child. We are using our adjoining hall to offer craft, games and musical activities for younger members of the community to join us for fun afternoons and parents to join in with a coffee and some biscuits.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

We love to host special events each year for our children, staff and parents to enjoy. These events are Pre-School Graduation and Sports Day in the Summer Term and in the Autumn Term we love putting on a Christmas Show and holding a Christmas Party for our children.
