How do I update my student’s information in Bay?

Existing student updates can be completed online through Bay Parent Portal. Please refer to the categories on the Parent Portal page and select the option that applies to you. If you need any further assistance, please contact your student’s school of enrollment or Student Services at (850) 767-4328.

How are Bay County Schools governed?

Bay County Schools are governed by a five-member board, responsible for setting policies which are designed with the goal of delivering the best possible education to each child. The policies govern budgetary, facility and personnel resources, as well as the students, faculty and staff at each school.

How do I update student information in the parent portal?

Yearly student information updates are done in the Parent Portal. Please update contact information and phone numbers for students. If you need to make an address change, you must take your address proofs to the school and they will approve the address.

What is the parent portal?

Parent Portal is a complete on-line system which allows the parent access to their student’s information including, but not limited to, student schedules, grades, discipline, and attendance. Yearly student information updates are done in the Parent Portal.

Pre-K Philosophy

Bay District Schools VPK & ESE Pre-Kindergarten classes are safe, respectful, responsive and positive places.

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK)

The State of Florida offers free Voluntary Pre- Kindergarten (VPK) for all children that have reached the age of 4 on or before September 1st. VPK is offered during the school year for a total of 540 hours and the summer for 300 hours. During the school year, children attend 3hrs. 15 min.

Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Pre-Kindergarten

Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Pre-K is instruction specifically designed to meet the educational and developmental needs of children with disabilities or those who are experiencing developmental delays. Services for preschool children (ages 3 through 5) are provided free of charge through our public schools.

Locations

There are 18 public school campuses that maintain Pre-K programs. These are: Callaway, Cedar Grove, Cherry Street, Deer Point, Hiland Park, Lucille Moore, Lynn Haven, Northside, Parker, Southport, Tommy Smith, Tyndall, Waller, Deane Bozeman School and Arnold High School.
