Early Childhood and Elementary Dress Code
Elementary School Dress Code is used to ensure that children are comfortably and safely dressed for learning, including physical activity.
Middle school and high school dress code
Students are responsible for being neat, clean and dressed appropriately for serious study. ABA does not have a "uniform” but has adopted an established dress code which attempts to provide a sense of school identity, recognize climatic and cultural restrictions, yet offer some individual flexibility.

How does ABA help children whose first language is not English?
In Early Childhood and Elementary, English language proficiency is not a prerequisite for student acceptance to ABA. We encourage parents to maintain their child’s mother language proficiency, as the strength of a second language is largely determined by first language proficiency.

ABA seeks to be a safe haven for all our students. Child Protection procedures derived from Child Protection Policy 7.6.3 will be stated in the ABA Child Protection Handbook. This handbook is communicated to all who work with ABA students.

While children are learning many aspects of traditional subjects such as mathematics, reading and writing, science, art and more during their time in Early Childhood, we prefer to view their development more holistically. ABA uses domains as lenses through which to bring each child’s learning into focus.

ABA mindfully designs its classrooms and continuously enhances it to engage and challenge students' learning. Our educators collaborate to provide safe and engaging environments where children learn about their world through play and relationships with peers, teachers, family and community members. Natural materials and loose parts (open-ended materials that have no specific purpose but can be used in a variety of ways) feature heavily in our classrooms.
Can you wear jewellery in ABA?
Wearing jewellery is discouraged. ABA cannot accept responsibility for jewellery, watches or other expensive items brought to school. ● ABA has a “no hat, no play” policy. All ABA shirts, PE shorts, and ABA hats are available for purchase in the uniform shop.
Is ABA an international school?

Absence
Please let us know, using the Absence Form below, if your child will be absent from school. The form should be completed if your child is ill or if you have a planned absence from school.
Oryx After School Club
Our Oryx Club operates during term time to provide supervision for children waiting for siblings or activities after school. Spaces are limited. Please contact the Primary Office for further information.
